Great Gram Turns 80!

Tonight we celebrated Great Gram's 80th Birthday!  So blessed to have so many years with this great lady!  I remember back to 1987 when she was waiting on a new heart and she and Mom carried around pagers so that they would head straight to Louisville once they had a match for her.   Thanks to her organ donor we've had so many more years with her....and now she gets to sit across the street and look out her window and watch her great grand kids grow up!  What a blessing!!

~First Haircut~

Such a big boy!!  Hudson got his first haircut today!  I waited forever to take him because he is so weird with strangers and definitely doesn't want anyone getting close to him that he doesn't know.  As soon as Matt walked in the door with him he turned and ran toward the door trying to escape.  :)  At first he was not having it AT ALL, but then the stylist gave him a sucker and that managed to keep him a little more calm and at least let her get in there every once in a while and make a few cuts.  He did great and looks so stinkin' cute!

But there was a whole lot of this to get there.....   :) 

 Big sis.....ready for her turn....I have always cut her hair.....hopefully we will make a trip to get hers done soon.  She's excited!

~Mother's Day~

We ventured over to the Peoria Zoo this morning and had so much fun!  It was a great morning spend with my favorite people!  Love these kiddos to pieces!

 We all LOVED the giraffes!  Such cool creatures and they were walking right in front of us.

 Hudson's favorite part was running down the ramps....he didn't know how to put on the brakes at first and got a little worried....but that didn't last long and he took off again.  This boy is fearless. 

How did this little girl get so darn big.....time is flying and I'm trying to enjoy every single minute with these two.

Memphis in May

Matt and I headed down to Memphis in May for a little weekend getaway with friends.  We had a great time hanging out on Beale Street....but the music festival was beyond muddy.  We had a great time listening to the music on Friday night, but Saturday night we didn't last too long.  We realized how old we were.  :)  Overall it was a great weekend away just the two of us....and the kids got to spend some quality time with Grandpa and Grandma Steinkamp.  :)
