Merry Christmas!!

Yo Gabba Gabba Live!!!

Christmas came early for Hudson this year.  At the last minute we ended up heading up to Chicago for the Yo Gabba Gabba Christmas Live show.  And he LOVED it!!!!!  Kinley liked it too.  We pre-ordered the YGG Live Christmas DVD and had of course watched it a million times before we went to the show.  It was so neat for him to see his DVD live.  I think he couldn't believe what he was seeing.  They are known for all their dancing and he is usually dancing right with them at home....but not at the show.  He sat on my lap and sang each song and kind of bobbed his head.....I don't think he wanted to miss a THING...and I think he thought he might if he was in the isle dancing.  :)

 

It was so cute to see him looking at all the kids before the show.....they were all dressed up like their favorite characters and I think Hudson felt right at home with all of "his people".  At the same time I think he kind of wondered why all those kids thought they were friends with his "friends". 

 

We stopped and got the kids haircuts on our way to the show and at the time they didn't even know that's where we were going.  But the first thing he said to the stylist as he was sitting in the chair is "Yo Gabba is my friends" that was his conversation starter.  He loves them.  :-)

 

Cuddling with their blankies after the show in the hotel room.  This was the first time for Hudson in a hotel and the first time that Kinley can remember so they had a blast!!

 Eating Giordano's watching Rudolph....what a perfect end to a perfect December day!  Couldn't have asked for a better day with these two cuties!!!

The Polar Express!!

We all loved the Polar Express!!!  Such a great way to get into the Christmas spirit!  :)  Kinley loved the dancers on the train and asked if she could do that some day.  Hudson was kind of being a stinker and wasn't thrilled to be confined to our seats on the train....but we still managed to have a great time.  All of the kiddos were fans of the hot cocoa and cookies!  It's definitely something we will have to do again.  Maybe not next year....but maybe in a couple years when Hudson can enjoy it even more.  So much fun!

~Christmas Parade~

Kinley got to ride on the school float in the Minier Christmas Parade this year and she was soooo excited!!  She's in the flower coat all bundled up.  It was FREEEEEEEZING.....but she still had a great time!  So much fun!

The school did pictures/placemats for Red Ribbon Week at school.  Kinley's was chosen to be displayed on the wall at the restaurant in Minier.  She thought she was pretty big stuff!!  Good job Kinley Jo.....we are so proud of you!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

We spent Thanksgiving with the Steinkamp clan this year.  It was fun to have all the kids together at Grandma and Grandpa's new house!  Unfortunately this was our best attempt at a picture of the kids with Grandma Ginny.  Not sure why I didn't take more pictures....but maybe this picture reminds me why.  Us big kids ran the Quincy Turkey Trot 5K in the morning....it was a lot of fun.  Maybe a tradition??  Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for watching the kids for us.  :)

Nashville!!

We had so much fun visiting Terry and Becky over Veteran's Day weekend!!  We spent a lot of time just hanging around the house and letting the kids play.  It was great!  We managed to get in a quick trip in to Nashville too.  They had a very nice Children's Museum and then we went to BB Kings downtown for lunch.  It was a beautiful day so we walked around a little too!  There was a Tennessee Titans game going on too that we could see across the river....very cool!  Such a fun trip...can't wait to go back!  :)
