Hudson Matthew.....my little one year old.....where has the time gone??

You are just the cutest, sweetest little thing we all love you to pieces.  

What you are up to these days...

You are a lightening fast crawler....seriously.....I don't know if you will ever walk because you can fly across the floor and get anywhere you want within a matter of seconds.  Sometimes your knees hit the wood floor so hard because you are crawling so fast across the floor....but it doesn't stop you.....I don't think you even notice.  Usually you are chasing your brother or sister or both....I think you think you're running right along with them.  You just squeal with excitement anytime they are around and love being with the big kids.  

You started pointing at things on Labor Day Weekend and you think you are big stuff!  Now you will even point at things and make noises until we acknowledge you.  You always have important things to say and need to be noticed.  You love to look Dad and I square in the eyes and just jabber away like you know exactly what you are talking about.  Even Riley commented that you really think you are telling a story.

By far your favorite thing to do is "drive" your sisters plastic pencil boxes all around the house...and make a vroom sound at the same time.  It is the cutest thing.  You are such a boy.  You will ocasionally drive a car but they don't go any direction you want them to like your pencil box...you get a little frustrated sometimes when they don't go the way you want them to and you let them hear about it.  :)

Last month you decided you wanted to start taking a paci.....really??  You have always usually had a paci in your bed that you chew on sometimes when you're in bed....but one night you figured out how to use it b/c I found it laying next to your mouth while you were sleeping.  :)  The next night we were rocking downstairs in the living room and you kept crawling over to me whining and trying to bite me while I was sitting in the chair...I had no idea why you wouldn't stop....then it finally dawned on me that you wanted the paci.....once I went up and got it for you you were as happy as a clam and have been a paci lover ever since.  I can't really complain though....because you are sooooo cuddly now.  As soon as you feel tired you want nothing more than your paci and blankie and to rock with Mommy.  I love it!!  :)   

You are eating all table food now and have been for a couple of months.  You are a good little eater, but definitely don't care much for veggies.  I usually find your green beans all over the floor after the meal....but you've picked out all the good stuff.  You love cinnamon bread, chicken nuggets, grilled cheese, yogurt, yogurt melts, applesauce, cheese, corn, cereal bars and a lot more.  We're still working on getting better with the sippy cup and you have about 4 bottles a day.  We're moving quickly to only having the morning and night time bottles....then they will eventually all be gone.  :(  You are not a lover of milk, I gave it to you once in a sippy and you just threw it straight to the floor.  So we've been experimenting with formula in the sippy and will hopefully gradually move to milk.

You are a great sleeper just like your sis.  The paci has definitely helped that too....now when you wake up you always find your paci and just chill for a while in the morning.  You used to wake us up as soon as you were awake....and even if it was 5:00 in the morning you were ready to get up and start your day. You usually go down between 8 and 8:30 and then sleep until 6:30 or 7:00.
