Rides & Duckies

Kinley has been talking about the 4th of July for over a month now.  She wanted to go ride rides with Audrey and do the ducky game like she did last year.  You would have never known it was 100 degrees outside....she loved every minute of it!  :)

Even Hadley got to get in on a little of the action....
This roller coaster was new this year....the girls were not real sure about it at the beginning....at all....  It was pretty fast moving for them at least and pretty jerky.  They also went backwards for a while....
By the end of the ride they were mostly all smiles though....but they were OK not to ride it again.  :-)
Hudson and his first carousel ride....this was before it was going....he thought he was pretty big stuff.  When it started he wasn't sure what to think but by the end he was smiling and wiggling with excitement.  :)

I feel like Kinley is so grown up sometimes....but I love how little they look here.....such cuties....
Picking their ducks and getting their "surprise".....Kinley was so excited to do this game she had to do it twice.  And I'm sure we'll be back next year..... :)
And we had to do the big slide twice too.....once with Mommy and once with Daddy....this was another ride that was talked about all year long.....so she was very excited to get to do it again.
Such a fun time with great friends and cute little girls!  :)

~Firsts at the Lake~

There were a lot of firsts for a quick trip to the lake this weekend.....   This was Hudson's first time to the lake....and he was such a good water baby!  :)  Kinley also tried waterskiing for the first time and loved it!  It was HOT, but there was always a pretty nice breeze on the lake so if you were in the shade or water it was actually pretty comfortable.  Hudson loved crawling around in the shade on the pontoon boat.  And Kinley loved showing him around the "Yozarks"....she was a great big sister.

Hudson's first time on the boat.....he's happy and clapping so that's a good sign!  :)

 Cutie pie.....
All suited up for his first float in the lake.  He was not a fan of the sunglasses....but kept all of it on once he could splash in the lake...
Our little waterskier!!!!  She had so much fun and looked so little out there!  Other boats were clapping for her and taking pictures....so she thought she was pretty big stuff!  :)  She skied every morning we were there.  This trainer ski is perfect for little ones learning to ski.  There is a board with places for their feet just like a ski under that inflatable part.

 Just floatin'.....
 Hangin' by the pool.....

~9 Months~

Hudson Matthew you are 9 months old!!  You are at such a cute age and sooo much of your personality is starting to come out....but I really want my baby back!  You are a crawling maniac and are pulling up on everything already.  You love when we hold your hands and walk with you....you just crack up laughing and love every minute of it.  I have a feeling you will be walking soon.....you want to keep up with your sister so so bad.  You watch her like a hawk and want to do everything she does.

You started clapping and shaking your head "no" on June 27th.....one day when sister decided to go to Melanie's to play with her friends.  It's almost like she wasn't here to keep you busy so you had all of this time to develop your own tricks!  You clap your hands all the time and can tell when someone is asking your a question and love to shake your head.  You can tell by the tone of our voice when it's a question and you love being able to "answer."  Even when Daddy and I are talking across the room you will end up crawling between us and talking and shaking your head "no" just like you are in the conversation....you have done this more times than I can count and it's just the cutest thing.

You are still at three meals a day of baby food and about 4 6 oz. bottles a day.  You'd much rather have real food or baby food instead of your bottles.....besides your nighttime bottle....you still love to cuddle with that one....and I hope that doesn't stop anytime soon.  :)  We've started to give you bites of real food that we know you can handle, but not too much of anything yet (but you REALLY love ice cream).   You have 6 teeth....four on top and two on bottom so we'll start introducing much more real food here in the next several weeks.

You are still wearing size 4 diapers and size 18 months clothes....some 12 months too.  You are a still a very good sleeper and head to bed around 8 and sleep through the night until about 6:00 or so.  Some days we can get closer to 7, but that doesn't happen as often as Mommy and Daddy would like.  :)  And we really don't like the days you are ready to go at 5:30 am.....

You are just the cutest, sweetest thing and we love watching your personality come through more and more every day.  You are such a little ham!  :-)

watching Star Wars with big brother Riley in the playroom....
 celebrating Mommy's birthday.....
 making cookies....

Hudson, do you have an ear ache?  Hudson now has his third ear infection.....
playing games with Daddy....trying to keep it away from little buddy....
 being such a big boy....

Riley Update...

Riley has wrapped up his soccer season and baseball season and will have a little break from sports before basketball starts up this winter.

In June Riley tried out for the competitive traveling team and we are waiting to hear whether he made the team.
Towards the end of baseball season Riley wanted to give pitching a try and asked the coach if he could pitch.  He pitched in two games struck out six batters and wasn't scored on.  Riley is excited to get even better at pitching over the off season.
Riley got straight A's in school and didn't miss one spelling word all year.  We are so proud of Riley and excited for him to start the 4th grade.  WAY TO GO RILEY!!

1st Day of Preschool!!

Kiney had her first day of preschool today and she was sooo excited!  Or as she would say "I am so exciting"....meaning excited.  Kinley is doing great with preschool at Miss Melanie's, but we thought it would be good to put her in a larger classroom environment over the summer....so someone doesn't think she's always the center of attention....  :) The preschool is right by Miss Melanie's house so we swing by and pick up Kinley's buddy, Cole (Miss Melanie's son) and they go to preschool together.  I think they both loved having their buddy there.

I can't believe my baby girl is getting so big!!!  Where has the time gone!!
