Kinley Girl

Last night we met with Kinley and her teacher for student-led conferences.  She did a great job with her presentation and showing off all she has learned.  Her teacher also let us know she won the Young Authors award for K-2 grade for Olympia West and gets to move on to compete in the district!!!!  We are so proud of you Kinley Jo!  She worked sooo hard on her book.  We told her to write it out on a notepad and then we would transfer it to her nice book to turn in.  Well....a few days later I checked in to see how she was coming.....and it was three note book pages long!  So needless to say she spent the next week doing nothing but rewriting her final story and drawing pictures in her book!!  She spent every waking hour working on her book, even skipping swimming practice one night!  So happy to see her rewarded for her hard work.  

Her teacher also told Kinley she is so proud of her kindness, thoughtfulness, and great character.  She said to keep being a great example to your classmates and keep up the good work.  So proud of my girl.  So glad she is trying hard and doing well in school, but also being a wonderful person!  Great job K!  Keep it up Dad and I are soooooo proud of you!

Hudson asked Santa for Star Wars Guys and a world map.  Santa forgot to deliver on the world map part, but Matt took him today to get one.  He really needed a "globe of the whole world".

Happy New Year!

We had a great New Years weekend at the lake!  We went to Tan Tar A for the indoor water park and the kids had a blast!  Hudson took some convincing to go down the big slide, but he eventually went down on the second day and loved it!  Such a great start to the new year!!

Ouch!!

Hudson fell on the swingset and possibly fractured his right arm.  He was definitely not wanting to move it at all. Rey put it in a temporary cast at Prompt Care and then we went to see Ortho. On Monday.  There were a few questionable spots on his elbow and arm, so they went ahead and casted him.  We get to go back before vacation though and have it taken off and looked at again.  He's been a tough little buddy through it all!!!

Kinley's Talent Show!!!

Kinley and Olivia performed in the school talent show today and did a great job!!!  They were sooo excited and nervous at the same time.  And K says they are "so doing that again next year."  She said everyone was saying they were awesome and she was so happy.  😉Alfie the elf got to watch the show too!!!  (Riley got to be there too, which was exciting for all of us😊)
